Behind the Scenes at Culture Club
Culture Club is operated by Culture Company staff, funded through Dublin City Council’s funding of the Culture Company and its work in cultural provision and cultural participation.
We know that culture is an essential part of everyday life and we are dedicated to investing time and resources into making cultural experiences available to everyone in Dublin. That’s why, over the last seven years we have continued to ensure that resources like dedicated staff and budgets are in place to support Culture Club as a long-term initiative to grow cultural confidence in new audiences. This means that everyone has an opportunity to visit different types of cultural places and hopefully have such an enjoyable time that they will continue to make visits and to discover many more new cultural places and people. Some of what we invest in to make this happen includes:
People
We have invested in building a strong and experienced team to develop and deliver Culture Club. If you’ve been on a Culture Club visit you’re sure to have met at least one of them but on top of the staff that give you the tours and talks at the partner venues we visit, we have a whole host of people who all make it happen.
Our team is made up of people from a mixture of backgrounds, expertise and experience across the areas of: community engagement, programming, history, policy, project management, communications, heritage, research, administration and tour guiding.
