Join us for a chat

As part of our Culture Connects programme we are making space for people to talk and connect by hosting conversations.

We are all spending more time at home as a result of COVID-19 and for many that has made connecting with people and culture difficult. It's so important to reach out to one another during this time.

So we are here and we are ready to listen.

If you’ve been getting creative, delving into heritage, learning a new skill, pursuing a pastime or would just like to explore what options are available to you, come and talk to us.

As part of our Culture Connects programme we are making space for people to talk and connect by hosting conversations. These will happen online or over the phone, and you can take part in group chats or talk to us one to one.

We want to listen, learn and understand what has mattered to you during this challenging time and find out more about what you have been doing.

Chat to our team about your local area, what you've been doing during COVID-19, or share your memories of Dublin with us. We can connect you with experts from our team to talk about local history, how to research genealogy from home, help you discover new books from our virtual bookshelf and more. The possibilities are endless.

Our group chats will last around an hour and each will focus on a topic. If you want to share your knowledge with others, find out more about what other people have been doing or just fancy a chat, we hope you will make a cup of tea and join us.

Over the next few weeks these group chats will encourage people to connect through different themes, and we’ll see where the conversations take us. Next week we’ll be focusing on getting creative, and in the following weeks we’ll be delving into heritage, discovering new pastimes and much more. These group chats are free and open to all but booking is required.

If you’d prefer to talk to us one to one then you can call and chat to a member of our team on our dedicated phone line 01 524 0391 or email us at cultureconnects@dublincitycouncilculturecompany.ie

Group Chats - How Does it Work?

Our online chats are free and open to all, booking is required.

Chats are hosted online using Zoom, a free online meeting platform. If you are not familiar with Zoom our team is available to help and guide you through setting up and using it.

Once you’ve booked you’ll be sent a link with the Zoom meeting details and a password so that you can join the chat at the scheduled time.

All that’s left is for you to make a cuppa tea and get ready to chat and listen.
