Culture Club is partnering with Dublin Dance Festival, inviting individuals and community groups to join us at a series of their events this year.

An important part of developing the Culture Club programme is providing opportunities to discover and try out a wide range of cultural activities. We are always open to new partnerships and we are actively researching and reaching out to organisations to tell them about Culture Club and discuss ways of working together.

Our partnership with Dublin Dance Festival will enable our audience to experience live performances, workshops, and nightlife, connecting with the vibrant dance culture in Ireland. Through this partnership we are continuing our work to make it easier for everyone to enjoy culture by providing a warm, welcoming, and accessible way to try new things.

Some of these events will be a new way to explore our other partner venues such as Re:INCARNATION in the Abbey Theatre, a vibrant and electrifying spectacle that immerses audiences in Nigerian culture. For a different style of performance there’s MOSH by Rachel Ní Bhraonáin, featuring raucous dance, live music and interviews with real mosh pit devotees to uncover the hidden meaning behind a misunderstood subculture.

Continuing our development of the programme to include workshops, Culture Club will be taking part in Hip Hop Jam with Jessie Thompson & Erine, a high-energy afternoon that’s all about the music, good vibes and a celebration of community. We’re also looking forward to Disco Neurotico, a club experience in Project Arts Centre, which creates a welcoming space for anybody who finds clubs overwhelming.

Attending festivals with Culture Club is a great way to get an introduction to wider programmes of events across different types of culture and venues. Through developing these partnerships, we build awareness around what is happening in cultural venues in Dublin, so that the people who attend Culture Club learn about the full range of opportunities available to try across the City. We are looking forward to working with Dublin Dance Festival to deepen engagement with dance in Ireland.

Now in its 21st year, Dublin Dance Festival brings artists and audiences together to create and share exceptional, provocative and relevant dance experiences. Each year in May, the festival presents the best Irish and international dance performances in venues throughout the city to a growing and evolving audience. This year’s festival runs from 13 to 24 of May.
