Students celebrate new beginnings at Clogher Road Community College

Transition year students from Clogher Road Community College in Crumlin are celebrating a new beginning with the creation of a mural to be displayed at the entrance of their school.
Diversity, growth, discovery and passion
The students hope it will provide inspiration for people to follow their dreams, both during their time at Clogher Road Community College and beyond.
At the end of May 2021, the students finished the installation of the striking new mural created by them in collaboration with artist Jorge Ruiz Calleja and the Dublin City Council Culture Company Culture Connects team. The mural celebrates the start of the school’s new journey with Educate Together.
Formerly Saint Kevin’s College, Clogher Road Community College is a new Educate Together and City of Dublin Education & Training Board (CDETB) partnership school, providing an equality based education for all students. To celebrate this new chapter, the students have been working with Jorge throughout the month of May to develop a new artwork inspired by themes of diversity, growth, discovery and passion.
From day one the students responded positively to Jorge and they worked together in a creative and enthusiastic way throughout the process to bring their ideas to life.
The mural, located inside the main entrance to the school and spanning a whopping 26m, represents all the pupils of the school from first to sixth year.
This project is made by Transition Year students from Clogher Road Community College with artist Jorge Ruiz Calleja and our Culture Connects team.
