Welcome to our new advisory group

Welcome to our new advisory group
  • Roinn

Following our open call earlier this year, we’re delighted to announce the appointment of a new advisory group for Dublin City Council Culture Company for 2021 to 2023.

Culture and conversation

The huge response we received from the open call has further confirmed for us that Dublin is a city full of people who want to engage with culture and who believe in culture as much as we do. The advisory group 2021 - 2023 represents a diverse and broad cross section of Dublin life. The group will support the creation of ideas and connections for the Culture Company.

The appointment of an advisory group is integral to our approach and how we work. To reach our goals, we believe in collaborating with people, communities, cultural organisations, and businesses to embed cultural experiences and increase cultural participation throughout the city.

Our previous advisory panel

The contributions of the 2018 - 2020 Advisory Panel (a culture panel and a heritage panel) proved invaluable in helping us with the development of our work and policies and many of our projects found their roots within the group. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for all of their work and commitment over the last few years.

A new chapter

We know that we are stronger together and through our work we bring people and organisations together to grow knowledge, understanding and respect. The appointment of our new advisory group is one of the key ways we continue to ensure that our work reflects what culture means to the people of Dublin.

The new advisory group will work collaboratively with the team to support and guide our creation of meaningful cultural initiatives.

The group includes people who have participated in our projects, community advocates, artists, singers, dancers, researchers, academics, makers, digital storytellers, publishers, social innovators, historians, and not to mention a whole range of other expertise. We’re delighted that the group represents such a broad view of what culture looks like in Dublin, and you can see the full advisory group below.

We’re looking forward to working with the group and excited to see what we can make together.
